September 18, 2012: The 4:30pm sun setting behind one of the aviation fuel tanks at Pegasus.

September 18, 2012: Gavin and Keifer, breaking connections like it ain't no thang.

September 18, 2012: I drove the Piston Bully to Pegasus (60+ mins), and for a bit I could see Castle Rock in my side mirror.

September 18, 2012: Went out to Pegasus Airfield this afternoon. The ice road goes on and on like this for 15 miles.

September 18, 2012: It was really cold & stormy this morning (-50), so we pulled the Gas Hopper inside.

September 18, 2012: McMurdo Station (center) and Ob Hill (left) from about a mile out on the sea ice.

September 17, 2012: They're building a new ice pier, and, if you look closely, you can see them spraying out a new layer.

September 17, 2012: Looks like Delta Scharen sprouted some legs!

September 17, 2012: Took my contacts out, brushed my teeth, flossed, and gargled! How pimp are you?

September 17, 2012: Remember that one time... Yeah I don't either. Happy Saturday again.

September 15, 2012: Sometimes you just want to make EXTRA sure that the fuel doesn't go past a certain point.

September 15, 2012: This is a fully packed and tested connection. Lookin' REEL good! Right?!

September 15, 2012: After we lay the hose, we "pack the line" with fuel and check the connections for leaks.

September 15, 2012: That's 4 reels (1.5 miles) of the 6-inch hose we're laying out to the Ice Runway.

September 15, 2012: Ice Runway Hose Lay! This is a Piston Bully. They are really fun to drive.

September 15, 2012: Oh, the good old days...

September 15, 2012: This has to be the best Fire Evacuation Plan ever. Thanks, Building 179!
